My English A-Levels coursework included writing an essay on either language and power or language and gender. I chose the topic language and gender. I analysed images of wedding dresses over a 50 year period (1950s-2000) and commented on what the fabric and techniques used to make the dresses said about the specific time period, and also the gender roles and issues from that time.
